How to Remove MacKeeper Ads
No matter how annoying it may seem, advertising is just a way for any company to inform its customers about a product or a service. MacKeeper™ does not differ from other companies that use online advertising.
However, it is one of the largest buyers of ad traffic that targets the Mac OS operating system. It buys traffic from multiple advertising companies just like everyone else.
If you experience problems with seeing pop-up ads, MacKeeper™ has provided the corresponding options below.
First way: remove MacKeeper Ads from Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
Go to Tools > Extensions.
Remove all unknown extentions;
If you cannot delete an extension, do the following:
Navigate to C:\Users\”computer name“\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\ and review the folders one by one.
Go to Settings > Add person.
Go back and remove person 1.
Disable and remove any unknown add-ons.
Go to Firefox’s Help Menu > Troubleshoot information > click on Reset Firefox.
Press Command + “,” (comma).
Go to extensions.
Disable all unneeded extensions.
Second way: install cookies that prevent showing MacKeeper-related ads.
MacKeeper also gives users an option to unsee its ads for the next 30 days. All you need is to install a cookie that prevents showing MacKeeper-related ads:
Go to MacKeeper Remove Ads page.
Scroll down the page.
Click “Please let me unsee MacKeeper ads for the next 30 days.”
