Privacy Policy

Introduction
At Clario Tech DMCC, we prioritize your privacy and adhere to strict data protection protocols to secure your personal information. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) does not cover data collected by third parties, including content (e.g., ads) linked to or accessible via our products and services. Please refer to those third parties' terms and policies for details.
By using our products and services, you consent to the collection, use, sharing, and processing of your data as described here. You confirm that you are legally permitted to enter into binding agreements, or you are at least 16, or the minimum age required by applicable data protection laws in your country (otherwise, you can access and use them exclusively under the supervision of a parent or guardian). If you do not consent, please discontinue use.
Additionally, our End User License Agreement (‘Agreement’) governs your use, and this Policy is part of that Agreement, so please review it carefully.

1. Who we are?
We, Clario Tech DMCC, with its principal office at Unit No: 3005-D6, Swiss Tower, Plot No: JLT-PH2-Y3A, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, UAE (hereinafter "Clario", "Company", “we”, “us”), we are a data controller for personal data which we process. 2. To what this policy applies?
This policy applies to our products, website and services (together ‘services’), namely, it applies ro MacKeeper Lite software (‘software’), Customer Support, ZoomDiagnostics tool (together ‘products’), as well as visiting any other linked pages or application services offered by the Company.
3. What kinds of data do we process?
We process data about you and your activity to provide and maintain our products and services.
3.1.Children’s data. Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16, or the minimum age required by applicable data protection laws in your country. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the required age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a user below this age without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that data.
If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child is using our products and services, then you may contact us at support@mackeeper.com and request to delete that child’s personal data.
3.2. Account registration data. To use the full range of services you will be required to create a proper MacKeeper Lite Account ("account"). To create an account you will need to provide us with: (a) Login and password; (b) Name; (c) Email address; (d) Communication method with Customer Support (via emails, chats, or calls).
Please note that during an account creation, we may check if your email has been involved in any data breaches and enable password leak monitoring to enhance your security. You can opt out of this feature during registration or disable it anytime within the software.
3.3. Data that we receive automatically. When you use our services, in addition to the data you enter yourself, we may collect some information automatically for optimizing your experience when using our services and improving the services itself, including: device information; user configuration information; cookies; browser information.
3.4. Data that may be collected via Property Lists (‘plists’). We may collect data via Property Lists (plists) to improve the functionality and efficiency of technical sessions. Plists help us manage settings and configurations, enabling us to optimize your device’s security. These files may include technical details like user preferences and session settings but do not contain personal information. All plist data is securely stored and retained only as needed for support and service enhancement. We do not share plist data with third parties unless required by law, to enforce policies, or to protect our rights. By participating in our technical sessions, you acknowledge and agree to the collection and use of plists data as described.
3.5. Data collected via MacKeeper Lite:
- Information about your device (OS version, ZD version, device name, model, and serial number, MAC address, platform, overall system information);
- IP addresses;
- Information about your apps (e.g. versions, size, date of the last update, etc.), services, and software and/or hardware you use;
- Results of Find & Fix scan;
- Browser information (for instance, name; version, default search page);
- Network or Wifi details;
- Your activity information (bugs, crashes, or system errors).
3.6. Via “ZoomDiagnostics” tool we may collect:
- Name;
- Email address;
- OS version;
- ZD version;
- Platform;
- Computer type;
- CPU;
- RAM;
- VGA.
Please note that during a fix session, an agent may install the ZoomDiagnostics tool on your computer. This tool helps by gathering basic system information and displaying it clearly. It can also detect potential issues, like system errors, application malfunctions, or low memory, and may provide notifications with relevant advice and instructions to address them. This tool may collect technical data about your device and service usage, including system diagnostics, to help us identify and address issues. Any information collected is processed securely in accordance with our privacy practices. For more details, please refer to ZoomDiagnostic’s privacy policy.
3.7. Via Customer Support we collect:
- Audio and/or video recording of a call/session;
- Static images of your screen, which may be captured during the session only;
- Chat correspondence;
- Telephone number (in case of a call);
- Your personal email;
- Full name;
- Mailing address;
- The password to the system (in case of remote fixes);
- Information about your device, services and software you used.
3.8. Data breach feature. Our data breach feature helps identify if your email address has appeared in past or new data breaches on the dark web, aiming to minimize personal data risks. By enabling 24/7 monitoring, the software notifies you of any new breaches. When you submit an email for checking, we transmit its hashed form (an encrypted version) to our third-party service, ensuring no personal information is shared. Our provider only uses this hash to check against its breach database and returns results to us for display in the software.
We do not store this information—only display the breach details within the software. You may remove any email or disable monitoring at any time.
3.9. Third-party data. Some of your personal data, such as your name, email address, zip code, the last four digits of the credit card number, the type of subscription you bought, its price, etc. may be processed and provided to us by third parties such as payment providers. Please note that we don't process information about your credit card number or other payment data - your credit card is passed directly to our payment processor and doesn’t ever go through our servers.
3.10. Autodialing Communications. We may use automated technologies, including autodialing systems and prerecorded messages to communicate with you regarding your account, services, or any other promotional offers that may interest you.
By accepting this Agreement and providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive marketing and promotional calls, texts, and pre-recorded messages or artificial voice messages from Clario at the number provided whether it is a residential landline or wireless (cell) phone. These may include information on our products, services, offers, or promotions and may be delivered via this automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Standard carrier charges may apply. You can opt-out any time as described herein and in section 12.
Opt-Out. You may opt out of receiving these communications at any time by following instructions in the message or contacting us at support@mackeeper.com. Your opting out of promotional messages will not affect our ability to contact you for non-promotional, service-related purposes.
4. Why do we process your data?
The main purpose of the processing of your data is to provide you with our products and services. Also, we use your data for other reasons such as safety and security, customer support, communications from us, compliance with legal obligations, also for research and development.
Provide you with services. We process data to provide you with a personalized experience and to maintain and improve the software. This includes using the data to:
- Create and update your Mackeeper Lite account;
- Enable your access to full range of our services;
- Perform operations necessary to provide services, such as troubleshooting software bugs and operational problems, to do data analysis, testing, research and to monitor and analyze usage trends.
Safety and security. We use the data to help maintain the safety and integrity of our services. This includes using data to prevent, detect and combat fraud.
Customer support. We use the data we collect to provide you with customer support services. This includes using data to:
- Provide you with Customer Support, “ZoomDiagnostics”.
- Deliver or install some programs or assistance tools and software.
- Answer your questions.
- Help resolve issues in relation to our services.
- Monitor and improve customer support.
Communications from the Company. We may use data that we process to communicate with you about our services. For example, we will send you purchase receipts or we may send you satisfaction surveys.
Marketing. If we receive your prior opt-in consent we will contact you via email to tell you about special offers, promotions, and update you on our products or services.
You may opt out of marketing communications from us and/or prohibit us from using your email to create custom audiences at any time by using the method provided in the email (such as clicking on an unsubscribe link), or contacting us via support@mackeeper.com.
Compliance with legal obligations. We collect your data to comply with our legal obligations. Also, we may use your data we collect to investigate or address claims or disputes in relation to the usage of our services or as otherwise allowed by applicable law, or as requested by regulators or government entities.
Research and development. We use collected data for testing, analysis, and product/service improvement, including safety, security, and feature development. Upon stopping service use, we may anonymize your data to enhance our services without the ability to re-identify you.
Specific features. We may use your data to provide you with specific features of our products and services.
5. What are the grounds for data processing?
Before proceeding to the processing of your personal data (as described in section 4) we evaluate the data that we collect and after that, we determine the legal basis of processing. We use the following basis to collect and process your data: performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interest, and your consent.

Your Consent. Sometimes we may need to process your personal data for purposes that are not listed in this policy . In such cases, we will ask for your prior consent before proceeding to process your personal data. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us to support@mackeeper.com.
7. Do we use Cookies?
Through the use of “cookies” and other technologies, we may collect data in order to, among other things, make it easier to navigate our website, buy now, and landing pages, etc., and to optimize the user experience across multiple devices. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. You can turn off cookies in your browser, but then you won’t have access to some essential features of the website, buy now, and landing pages, etc.

8. Do we transfer your data?
We may need to process your data outside of the country in which you reside. We apply measures to protect our data transfers. In the course of our operations, we may need to transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) due to the international nature of our Company. In case of data transfers outside of the EEA, we will use all appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.
9. How do we handle your data?
Data Security: We prioritize the security of your personal data with robust measures to prevent unauthorized access. Access is restricted to employees, contractors, and agents who need it to perform their roles, all bound by confidentiality obligations. We use physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect against data loss, misuse, unauthorized access, and alteration.
Data Storage: Your data is stored only as long as needed to provide you with our services, or longer if legally required. We may retain some data after account deactivation for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and support continuity. To terminate your account or stop data usage, please contact us at support@mackeeper.com.
10. How can you manage your data?
If you would like to access, review, update, rectify, and delete any personal data we hold about you, including collected via services, you may review and manage your privacy settings by:

- via your Account.
Depending on the jurisdiction where you reside, you have several rights regarding your data, in particular:
- Access: You can request an overview or copy of the personal data we process about you.
- Rectification: You can correct or update any inaccurate information.
- Data Portability: You can receive your data in a machine-readable format or have it transmitted to another controller, when feasible.
- Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data, which may take up to 30 days.
- Restriction and Objection: You can request to restrict or object to data processing, including for direct marketing.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@mackeeper.com. Note that we may retain certain information as required by law. If you are unsatisfied with our data handling, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
11. California & Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Under some U.S. state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2020 (CCPA), residents have the following rights
- Right to Be Informed: For data we collect, its sources, purposes, and third-party sharing, see Sections 3-6 of this notice.
- Right of Access, Data Portability, and Right to Delete: Refer to Section 10.

No Sale of Personal Data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate if you exercise any CCPA rights.
Notice, the CCPA envisages some specific requirements related to the exercising of these data protection rights. Considering them we may:
- respond to your request within forty-five (45) days of receiving the request;
- provide you with personal data we collected about you no more than twice in a 12-months period (categories and specific pieces of collected personal data, business purpose and sources of collection, categories of third parties personal data is shared with);
- NOT provide you with personal data if we cannot verify your identity. You shall provide us with sufficient information allowing us to verify you as the person about whom we collected personal data. However, we do consider requests made through your Account sufficiently verified.
Also, please be aware that we are allowed to maintain personal data after a deletion request is received as permitted by the CCPA (for instance, for the purposes of detection of security incidents, repair errors, compliance with legal obligations, transaction completion).
Opt-Out of Direct Marketing Disclosures. California residents can request information on third parties who received their data for direct marketing by emailing at support@mackeeper.com with “California Privacy Rights” in the subject.
Note: This opt-out is for direct marketing only, we may still process and share certain information, including your name, address, email address, and phone number, for other permitted purposes.
Do-not-track requests. California residents may request limits on tracking of their online activities across the internet via browser settings or other mechanisms. We currently cannot honor these requests but may update this policy as our capabilities change
12. “Do not call” list
We handle incoming calls from individuals seeking technical assistance. If you use Customer Support as part of our services, a support agent may call you only if you request it or have scheduled a call as agreed with the agent (oral and/or written).
If you prefer not to receive any calls from Customer Support, you can ask to be added to our internal “Do Not Call” list during a call/session or by emailing us at support@mackeeper.com. Please allow up to 30 days for your request to take effect.
