Just follow these steps:

  1. Open Steam on your Mac and log in if prompted.
  2. From the menu bar, go to Steam > Preferences.
  3. Select Downloads from the Preferences sidebar.
  4. Near the bottom, click Clear Download Cache.
  5. Click OK to confirm you want to clear the cache.
To remove Steam’s download cache on Mac, open Steam and go to Preferences. Open the Downloads tab and click Clear Download Cache, click OK to confirm.

Issues with clearing Steam’s cache on Mac
