  5. Delete old messages and attachments
  6. Upgrade your iCloud storage plan

1. Delete unnecessary iCloud backups

Here’s how you can delete unnecessary iCloud backups:

  1. On your Mac, open System Settings.
  2. Click on Apple ID > iCloud.
  3. Press the Manage button to bring up backups.
  4. Select the backups you want to remove and click minus (-).
