One of iMessage's best features is its ability to sync the messages you send or receive on your iPhone with your Mac and vice versa. This makes it easy to continue conversations on either device. Unfortunately, various reasons—such as random glitches, conflicting settings, and connectivity errors—can cause sync issues. Let's check out what you can do if your iMessage is not syncing on Mac.
What is iMessage?
iMessage is a built-in messaging service for the iPhone that allows you to communicate with other Apple users via Wi-Fi and cellular data. Unlike traditional SMS and MMS, you don't have to rely on your carrier's network for your messages and attachments to go through.
If you use an Apple ID, you can also view, send, and receive messages through the Messages app on your Mac. Your iMessage activity automatically syncs between your iPhone and Mac over iCloud, so you can see your latest messages on both devices.

Here's what you can do if your internet connection is slow:
Turn off your router, wait for at least one minute, and turn it back on to reset the connection to your internet service provider.
Perform a system reboot (if you haven't already) to refresh the networking hardware on your Mac.
Clear your Mac's DNS (Domain Name System) cache—type Terminal into Spotlight Search and execute the sudo killall –INFO mDNSResponder command.
Try using a different Wi-Fi hotspot, such as the hotspot on your iPhone.
Contact your internet service provider if the slowdowns persist.
4. Check Apple's servers
If there's nothing wrong with your internet connection, it could be something to do with the Apple servers.
If you see a red dot, you must wait until Apple gets the iMessage servers back online—it shouldn't take long.
Steps 1-3: Visit the Apple System Status page and check if iMessage is available.
5. Sign in with the same Apple ID
iMessage won't sync between your Mac and iPhone if the Apple IDs are different. Check the iMessage details on both devices and confirm that the accounts match.
To check the Apple ID for iMessage on your Mac:
Open the Messages app and Messages > Settings on the menu bar.
Switch to the iMessage tab.
Check the email address next to Apple ID—if it doesn't match the address on your iPhone, select Sign Out and sign in with the correct ID.

Type your message into the box at the bottom of the window and press Return.

Step 1-2: Go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding.Step 3: Enable the switch next to your iPhone.
